Job Summary:
To develop the skills to complete weatherization upgrades and minor home repairs with high quality while meeting daily production goals.
Essential Job Functions:

Successfully complete required training (per Weatherization Specialist Training Plan) before beginning work and all other training as stated in the Weatherization Specialist Training Plan as trained by the company

Installation of approved Energy Efficiency Measures such as, but not limited to, installing light fixtures, installing air conditioners and/or hot water heaters, replacing doors and/or windows, replacing glass, cover plates, patching walls, installing shower heads, etc.

Determine feasibility of Energy Efficiency Measure(s) as trained

Identify and document non-feasibility reason(s) of measure(s) not installed as trained

Contribute to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed

Maintain continuity by documenting and communicating actions, irregularities, and needs

Participate in all training sessions/meetings

Maintain safe and clean working environment by complying with procedures, policies, and regulations (including vehicle maintenance schedule and cleanliness policies)

Report to work prepared and on time

Any tasks/duties given by the Weatherization Specialist Lead or General Manager

Responsible for the good image of the company while at customers’ homes and outside the working area

Respect all the machinery, tooling and property of Highlands Energy Services

Actively pursue a “Teamwork” environment

Protect the confidentiality of any processes inherent in the operation of Highland Energy Services

Qualifications and Skills
Required:
-
Ability to install approved Energy Efficiency Measures
-
Ability to climb up and down ladders up to 16 feet
-
Ability to crawl and crouch in confined spaces
-
Ability to operate hand and power tools such as skill saws, power drills, and utility knifes

Ability to read, analyze, interpret, identify, document and report information
-
Reliable transportation
Preferred:
-
1+ year(s) of building industry carpentry, maintenance, mechanical, and/or Weatherization Specialist training
-
Have a valid California Driver License and a relatively clean DMV record
-
Ability to drive a company vehicle
Physical Demands:
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently required to drive, walk, climb, crawl, push, pull, reach, sit, stand, climb ladders, and work with various tools and equipment. Must be able to operate a pallet jack. The employee will frequently be required to lift objects up to 50 pounds.
