Duties:
- Perform dental hygiene procedures, including cleaning, scaling, and polishing teeth
- Take digital dental x-rays
- Assess patients' oral health and provide oral hygiene instructions
- Administer local anesthesia and nitrous oxide as needed
- Maintain accurate patient records using electronic systems such as Dentrix, Eaglesoft, or Epic
- Educate patients on proper oral care techniques and preventive measures
- Collaborate with the dental team to ensure optimal patient care
Requirements:
- Valid dental hygiene license in [state]
- Associate's degree or higher in Dental Hygiene from an accredited program
- Proficiency in using dental practice management software such as Dentrix, Eaglesoft, or Epic
- Knowledge of medical coding and billing procedures
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
