Overview: Golden Platter Foods is seeking a highly motivated and proactive R&D Assistant to support our Product Development team. The ideal candidate will exhibit a strong initiative, eagerness to learn, and a dynamic, energetic attitude. This role requires someone who can work independently and efficiently without constant supervision. Bilingual proficiency in English and Spanish is highly desirable due to interactions with plant personnel. Additionally, experience with project management is a significant advantage, though certification is not required.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage and Update Timelines: Responsible for managing and updating product development timelines, including formal kickoff meetings, founders' notes, and benchmarks.
- Project Management: Coordinate and manage sample runs, ensuring effective communication with QC and Production teams and organizing data to meet Product Development standards.
- Documentation: Document all relevant information during tabletop sample production and large kitchen batches as directed by Product Development.
- Sample Production Oversight: Oversee sample production runs, including labeling, storing, packing, shipping, and updating sample logs.
- Retailer Set Analysis Support: Purchase products for all retailers set analysis, prepare white boards, forms, and photos prior to cutting. Collect all samples after tasting and place them in designated areas.
- Kitchen Maintenance: Keep the R&D kitchen clean, orderly, and sanitized for sample preparation.
- Equipment Operation: Operate all equipment in the R&D test kitchen with the goal of understanding how production equipment mimics our operation.
Qualifications:
- Language Skills: Bilingual proficiency in English and Spanish is highly desirable.
- Experience: Familiarity with project management and the ability to manage project timelines.
- Skills: Strong initiative, eagerness to learn, and a dynamic, energetic attitude.
- Work Ethic: Ability to work independently and efficiently without constant supervision.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience: Previous experience in product development or a related field.
