Join Gastroenterology Specialists where we are dedicated to providing state-of-the-art medical care in a comfortable and confidential manner. Among our services are screening colonoscopy, consultative gastroenterology and hepatology services and care of patients with inflammatory bowel disease.
A Registered Nurse in our office setting is responsible for understanding complicated medical histories and being a resource to all support staff in the office.
Your primary duties will include:
- Collaborating with the physicians, nurse practitioners, and physician assistant to ensure that patient calls are triaged appropriately and acting as a liaison between the patient and provider
- Triaging lab work, x-rays, pathology, and provider orders
- Inform patients of their results and/or treatment plan.
- Maintaining treatment plans and prior authorizations for patients receiving biologics.
- Supporting 5 physicians and 4 Advance Practice Providers in the office and hospitals with advanced office-based patient care needs

Education:
- Graduate of an accredited school of nursing, BSN preferred.
Certifications:
- Current license in the State of Ohio
- Maintains current ACLS and BLS
