Under the direction of the RN or LPN, the nurse technician facilitates patient care by providing physical care and nursing procedures beyond that of the customary health services technician, but not requiring professional skills and technical knowledge of the RN. The first time each clinical skill is completed, it must be done under the direction of a nurse to ensure competency.
Education:
- Post-high school special training
Licensure/Certification/Registration:
Special Skills/Qualifications/Additional Training/Experience Required:
- Must be able to read, write in, speak and understand English.
- Actively enrolled in school and completing course work for associate's degree in nursing. Must have successfully completed Nursing II or the equivalent from a state-accredited RN program
