Serving our Southern California community for over 15 years, Love 2 Learn is a clinician owned, award winning agency. We provide Early Intervention, ABA, Speech and Occupational Therapy for families and individuals, from birth through adulthood.
Love 2 Learn is seeking a part-time professional who has experience in billing medical services, preferably Applied Behavior Analysis. This person will track and manage insurance claims & denials as well as preparation of appeals. They must have a minimum of one-year of experience with medical billing and collection systems. Those who are reliable, relational, and committed to excellence will thrive in our culture. Knowledge and experience with medical practice management software are preferred. We are a small business in Huntington Beach, CA. An onsite presence is needed as this role also supports closing the office along with clinicians at the end of the work day.
What to Expect from this Position:
- Effectively manage complex payer denials by assimilating and submitting Billing information
- Supporting client clinical documentation
- Payer criteria
- Correct coding guidelines
- Specialty Association recommendations
- Follow federal/local regulatory guidelines
- Supporting letter of medical necessity from the provider of service
- Appeal letter consistent with payer requirements
- Other documentation as applicable
- Timely resolution of denials including follow up with payers and clients
- Resolving claims by acquiring all necessary information through consistent and timely follow up with the client to provide clarification and/or missing information
- Adherence to the Client Adjustment Authorization matrix using appropriate adjustment codes to ensure clean AR
- Secondary claims management
- Other duties as assigned
Qualifications:
- Experience in Insurance Billing, Payment Posting, Accounting, or AR (ABA Industry preferred)
- Highly organized and detail oriented
- Experience using practice management software for billing (Central Reach preferred)
- Experience with primary & secondary insurances
- Experience with financial posting & tie-outs
- Demonstrate good judgment and decision making
- Ability to meet strict deadlines
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills as well as customer service
- Previous experience working in a team environment and comfortable working independently
- Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, etc.)
- Self-motivated, dependable and can work independently, as well as on a team
- Able to multitask and manage multiple projects
All serious candidates will be subject to a background check. This is an ONSITE position.
Monday 2:30pm - 6:00pm Tuesday through Friday: 2:30pm - 5:30 pm
Job Type: Part-time
Pay: $17.00 - $21.00 per hour
