Summary
Under the direction of the Manager for Career Development, provide career coaching/advising including career assessments, career exploration, career planning, and professional skill development to assist team members, students, and community members in making informed career decisions.
Responsibilities
- Conducts career coaching/advisement sessions for team members and student interns regarding their present level vocational skills, employment history, and assist them in understanding their various career options based on their long-term career goals

Guides team members and student interns in determining their interests and abilities using a wide range of methods, such as aptitude assessments, interview, and planning materials

Assists team members and student interns in an effective career development process for reaching their career objectives

Responds to questions pertaining to career development, exploration, and education opportunities

Conducts trainings for personal and professional skill development

Conducts real life simulated mock interviews

Assists in outreach programs to promote career development services among team members, students, and the community

Tracks multiple indicators to assess effectiveness of instruction, training, and coaching/advising sessions

Performs all other related duties assigned by the Manager and/or Director for Career Development

Has accountability for meeting productivity standards

Requirements, Preferences and Experience
Education
Minimum:
- Bachelor's Degree in psychology, counseling, vocational psychology, social development or degree in similar field supplemented by training or 3-5 years' experience in career advising/coaching
Experience
Minimum: Two years' experience in career development, career placement, employment counseling, or adult education

Minimum:
- Computer Literacy

Well-developed knowledge of and skill at using English grammar

Well-developed human relations skills to facilitate discussions and to make presentations to various audiences

Ability to provide education and career-related information and assistance to team members and the community
