SUMMARY
The Shift Leader oversees residential practices and protocols relating to activities, policies, licensure, accreditation, and internal requirements of the TN residential programs. The Shift Leader is responsible for training, mentoring and providing guidance to direct care staff and residents on campus. The Shift Leader is under the supervision of the Assistant Administrator of TN Children's Services.
JOB REQUIREMENTS
- Must possess an Associates Degree or a minimum of 2 years of experience working in a residential care facility for youth.
- Must possess advanced computer and communication skills
- Must have supervision experience
- Must possess ability to train staff
- Must be able to pass a thorough background check
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
Maintain close working relationship with the residential staff direct care providers and execute required assessments and evaluations
Possess strong knowledge of internal and external standards and conduct regular cottage inspections for compliance
Produce work schedules and amend as needed throughout the pay periods
Provide on-site crisis management, complete on-call notification and ensure availability of direct care during shifts
Ensure cottages have all required food, products and materials in accordance with guidelines
Complete rounds of the campus, including visual inspections on proper rotation
Oversee proper medication administration and review documentation ensuring guidelines are followed
Review and follow-up on all staff required trainings to ensure they are being completed on a timely basis, and introduce or recommend further training as necessary to ensure staff are performing accurately and efficiently
Complete all necessary documentation, reporting and coordination required for all internal and external departments
