The primary role of the MPU Loader Operator Contractor position is to work closely with the Overhaul Warehouse Materials Coordinator and the QA/QC Technician. This position will support the WOA for all loader needs as well as load and or deliver the necessary materials for the Overhaul Crew during their projects.

- Must possess a strong desire to learn, highly motivated and be willing to take direction
- Receiving and offloading major rotating equipment components
- Operates overhead cranes, forklifts, loaders, and other various pieces of equipment.
- Performs all requested tasks professionally and in a reasonable time frame.
- Reviews work prior to start and has materials/equipment on hand to achieve high levels of productivity
- Sustains a well-kept and orderly site in the performance of all work duties
- Works within a team environment to assist other personnel in accomplishing tasks and major projects
- Performs general warehouse duties such as inspect and clean, sweep shop and maintain hazard free work area.
- Operate fleet of trucks and pool vehicles.
- Fulfill duties of a Material Handling Technician when not expediting/operating equipment.
- Have a thorough knowledge of emergency procedures.
- Excellent customer service skills.
- Ability to adhere to strict policy and procedures per company and OSHA requirements.
- Knowledge of diesel and air compressor mechanical equipment.
- Ability to follow directions in detail.
- Ability to read and interpret diagrams, schematics and procedures.
- Ability to work well with others in an environment that includes harsh weather conditions, remote locations, and diversified personalities.
- Skilled in interpersonal communication with the ability to work closely in a small shop environment.
- Basic computer skills, including the ability to take online training, email general reports and use Microsoft Office Software.
- Ability to clearly speak, write, read, and understand the English language.

Required Qualifications:
- Must be at least 18 years old
- Valid CDL Class B with HazMat endorsement that meets company insurance criteria.
- North Slope Training Cooperative (NSTC) Card required.
- At least two years of North Slope work experience or training which demonstrates suitability for and knowledge of what is required in this type of work.
- Ability to lift & carry 50 pounds on regular basis, routine walking, standing, bending.

While performing the duties of this job, the employee constantly works on-site at the construction work site where the employee is exposed to moving mechanical parts; high precarious places; fumes or airborne particles; outside weather conditions and risk of electrical shock. The noise in these work environments is usually moderate to very loud.
- This is a North Slope assigned full time position with normal working hours 6 a.m. to 6 p.m., 7 days/week with an alternate. All North Slope assigned positions are on-call 24 hours/day while on shift or assigned temporarily to another project. Flexibility regarding hours of work is required as needed to meet the demands of the job. Position may be recalled at any time during spill emergencies.
- Position may be exposed to extremely hostile weather conditions at times while working outdoors. Arctic PPE is provided.
- Position may be working with potentially hazardous materials and wastes.
- Dress code is professional commensurate with North Slope practices where applicable.
- Hard-toe safety footwear is always required while working.
- Frequent walking and standing, occasional keyboard use, sitting, bending, twisting, and reaching.

- MOBILITY: Must be able to access all controls and all parts of machinery for service. Must be able to push/pull 100 pounds for 20 feet.
- HEARING: Must be able to hear audible safety alarms.
- VISUAL ACUITY: Must be adequate to perform above listed tasks in a safe manner and take hand signals from ground man or flag man.
- LIFTING: Must be able to routinely lift up to 50 pounds from floor to waist, 50 pounds from wait level to shoulder height and carry 50 pounds for 20 feet.
- RANGE OF MOTION: An objective range of motion measurement will be conducted and recorded using a five position and rapid exchange grip strength test during the pre-hire/post offer FCE.
