Position Summary: We are seeking a skilled and motivated Generator Service Technician to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will have experience in the maintenance, repair, and installation of various types of generators. This role requires a strong technical background, excellent problem-solving skills, and a commitment to providing top-notch customer service.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform routine maintenance and inspections on a variety of generator systems.
- Diagnose and repair mechanical, electrical, and electronic issues in generators.
- Conduct performance assessments.
- Install and commission new generator units and related equipment.
- Respond to emergency service calls and provide on-site troubleshooting.
- Maintain accurate service records and documentation.
- Ensure compliance with all safety protocols and regulations.
- Provide excellent customer service and support.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent; technical or trade school certification preferred.
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in generator maintenance and repair.
- Strong knowledge of diesel, natural gas, and propane generator systems.
- Proficiency in reading and interpreting technical manuals, schematics, and diagrams.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Excellent problem-solving and diagnostic skills.
- Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record.
- Ability to pass a background check
- Ability to pass a drug screening
- Hand tools beneficial to the industry & type of work
Physical Requirements:
- Ability to lift and carry up to 100 pounds.
- Ability to work in various environments, including outdoors during all types of weather and in confined spaces.
- Ability to stand, walk, and bend for extended periods.
