POSITION SUMMARY:
As a Housekeeper at our esteemed Sheraton property, your primary mission is to uphold the highest standards of cleanliness within our guest rooms. You will meticulously attend to each detail, ensuring that every room is a welcoming and spotless haven for our valued guests. But your role goes beyond just tidying up. You will also play a crucial part in attending to our guests' needs, embodying the Sheraton commitment to exceptional service and ensuring their stay is nothing short of extraordinary. Your dedication to both the physical space and the guest experience will be the driving force behind the lasting impressions that we create for all who choose to stay with us.
HOURS: Weekdays: 8AM-4:30PM & Weekends: 9AM-5:30PM
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Changes bed linen and bath linen in accordance with occupancy status and guest preference.
- Cleans, sanitizes and dries all areas of the bathroom (sink, counter, tub, tile, floor, etc.)
- Removes stains and smudges from windows, walls, mirrors, pictures, small appliances.
- Equips room with all guest amenities.
- Vacuums and dusts all furniture and hard surfaces.
- Performs special general cleaning to maintain readiness for official Sheraton and Public Health inspections.
- Reports all maintenance and “wear and tear” issues to Housekeeping Dept.
- Fulfills all customer service guidelines for guest service.
- Checks and reports guests’ consumption of bottled water.
- Updates room status on daily work sheet.
- Maintains guest room security by careful key control and security procedures.
- Maintains all cleaning equipment in good working condition.
- Maintains housekeeping cart in clean and organized manner continually through out the day.
- Performs other cleaning functions as directed by Housekeeping management.
REQUIREMENTS:
- Ability to communicate clearly with other housekeepers, housemen and supervisors
- A demonstrated positive attitude towards service and a desire to provide an excellent guest experience for hotel guests.
- Ability to follow instructions and work independently.
- Ability to balance many tasks and prioritize importance.
- Ability to read basic instructions
- Ability to follow through with daily room assignment reports and reports of problems.
- Ability to clean 16 rooms per day while observing maid minute guidelines.
- Proficiency in using cleaning products and appliances.
- Reliable transportation
Availability: The schedule for our Housekeepers varies depending on the season and the specific needs of our properties. Flexibility is key.
WORKING CONDITIONS:
- Typically bends, stoops, moves, lifts, squats and walks constantly during the shift to perform cleaning tasks.
- Must be able to stand and perform cleaning tasks for up to 4 hours at a time. Must lift up to 10 lbs. 30 times during the shift.
- Must be able to push a loaded housekeeping cart weighing 75 lbs. 32 times a day.
- Requires visual acuity to be able to clean thoroughly and maintain cleanliness and manual dexterity to perform cleaning tasks.
- Works regularly with cleaning and disinfecting chemicals.
