Salary+ Incentive Pay - Pay range: $50,000-$60,000 annual pay + bonus and/or commissions
Job Summary:
The Mortgage Loan Funder is responsible for ensuring completion of the Closing/Funding process of residential loans in accordance with company policy, regulatory compliance, and investor guidelines. Individuals in this position will work closely with the Production, Processing, and Closing departments.
Responsibilities:
- Reviews loan package for required documentation.
- Ensures loan package meets compliance guidelines and fixing discrepancies as necessary.
- Serves as liaison between KBHS and closing agent.
- Calculates funding amount for each loan package, balances figures with closing agent, releases wire and funds loan.
- Completes work within established closing deadlines.
- Balances and finalizes the final CD with Title for closing.
*This position is considered a non-loan originator position, this means participants may not engage in activities of a loan originator, including communicating directly with borrowers about credit qualification or loan terms, including pricing concessions or other transaction-specific terms or conditions.
Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- 4+ years of mortgage-related experience.
- Reside in Pacific or Mountain Time Zone.
- Basic knowledge of loan documentation.
- Advance computer skills including Excel and Outlook.
- Advance mathematical skills.
- Excellent interpersonal, written, and oral communication skills.
- Familiar with reading and interpreting insurance policies, tax information, prelims, appraisals, and settlement statements.
- Knowledge of MDIA and RESPA disclosure requirements.
- Working knowledge of Empower and Encompass.
- Strong attention to detail and organization skills.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
- 4+ years loan funding experience preferred.
- Exposure to Retail.
- Ability to multitask, as well as work efficiently and effectively within required deadlines.
- Strong compliance knowledge and experience with identifying risk factors.
- Ability to learn quickly and apply that knowledge, along with the ability to work in a team environment.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Demonstrate high volume productivity.
- Builder industry experience.
- Must be detail-oriented, organized, and work efficiently under pressure.
- Excellent written and oral communication skills.
- Strong organizational and analytical skills.
- Demonstrate an OUTSTANDING level of customer service skills.
- Must work well independently and be self-motivated.

Pay: $50,000.00 - $60,000.00 per year
