Job Overview:
We are seeking a skilled Residential HVAC Service Technician to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining heating, ventilation, and air conditioning systems in residential settings. This position requires technical knowledge, excellent problem-solving abilities, good communication skills and a strong commitment to providing high-quality service to our clients.
Responsibilities:
- Perform routine maintenance and inspections of residential HVAC systems to ensure optimal performance and efficiency.
- Diagnose and troubleshoot HVAC system issues, including but not limited to heating, cooling and ventilation.
- Repair or replace defective parts and components, as needed, to restore proper functionality.
- Conduct thorough assessments of HVAC systems to identify potential problems or areas for improvement.
- Provide recommendations to customers regarding repairs, replacement or upgrades based on assessment findings.
- Adhere to safety protocols and industry standards when performing installations, repairs, or maintenance tasks.
- Document all service activities, including repairs performed, parts used, and time spent on each job.
- Communicate effectively with customers to explain service options, answer questions, and address concerns.
- Collaborate with team members and supervisors to coordinate schedules, prioritize tasks, and ensure timely completion of service calls.
- Stay updated on industry trends, best practices, and emerging technologies related to residential HVAC systems.
- Attend weekly meetings/trainings
- Work an on-call rotation for after hour service needs
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent; completion of HVAC technical training program preferred.
- Minimum of 2-3 years of experience working as a residential HVAC service technician preferred.
- Valid HVAC technician license or certification (where applicable).
- Proficiency in diagnosing and repairing a wide range of HVAC systems and components.
- Solid understanding of electrical, mechanical, and refrigeration principles related to HVAC systems.
- Solid troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work independently and efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
- Outstanding customer service and communication skills.
- Willingness to participate in ongoing training and professional development opportunities.
- Valid driver's license and clean driving record.
Physical Requirements:
- Ability to lift and carry heavy equipment and tools (up to 50 pounds).
- Comfortable working in confined spaces, on ladders, and in varying weather conditions.
- Capable of kneeling, bending, and standing for extended periods of time.

Pay:
The position is an hourly position and based on skill and experience, can earn up between $50k-$85 annually. We also offer a spiff program for additional pay.
