Coastal Surgeons is a fast paced private practice of General Surgeons. Ideal candidate will be focused on excellent customer service, have the ability to multi-task, the ability to show flexibility in assignments, maintain scrupulous infection control standards, maintain professional competencies and have the ability to work as part of a team.
JOB SUMMARY:
The Medical Assistant (MA) will work under supervision with oversight from the Physician. May have additional responsibilities as designated by the Physician. Front and back office duties.
Assists medical providers with in office procedures and maintains a clean and safe environment in accordance with the practice policies and procedure. Great communicator able to deal tactfully and professionally with patients, families, staff, and physicians.
Operates telephone system including receiving incoming calls, taking messages, identify nature of business and call.
Assist with chart preparation. Scheduling follow up appointments. Inventory. Stocking exam rooms.
Assist with Admissions. Intake for patients. Copy identification and insurance. Communication with Pre-Op nursing staff.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Two years of related experience and/or training.
- Or Equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Communication skills: ability to effectively present information to patients, physicians, and other employees of surgery center.
- Basic math skills.
- Proficient on a Computer.

Education: Graduate of an accredited CMA program preferred.
Experience: Minimum two years experience

Coastal Surgeons complies with federal, state, and/or local laws regarding mandatory vaccination of its workforce. If you are offered this position and must be vaccinated under any applicable law, you will be required to show proof of full vaccination or obtain an approval of a religious or medical exemption prior to your start date.
