The Video Production Designer is a key player on our Creative Team, responsible for designing, shooting, editing, and managing video productions. This multifaceted role requires a combination of creative vision, technical skills, and organizational abilities to ensure the delivery of top-notch video content for a variety of purposes, including marketing campaigns, educational materials, entertainment, and more. In addition, this role will support the Creative Team’s annual goals and initiatives by collaborating with various teams to build video campaigns and workshops that achieve lead-generation results. The Video Production Designer will also complete functional duties that fit the team’s structure and needs.
Responsibilities of this position include:
- Creative Video Design: Collaborate with teams to develop creative concepts and storyboards for video projects, ensuring alignment with project goals and objectives.
- Production Scheduling: Coordinate and schedule video production activities, ensuring timely completion of projects while meeting quality standards.
- Pre-Production Planning: Plan and organize the set-up of video production shoots.
- Videography: Capture high-quality video footage using a variety of cameras and lighting equipment. Direct and instruct talent and crew during shoots to achieve the desired vision.
- Video Editing: Edit raw footage into polished videos using industry-standard software. Add effects, graphics, music, and sound to enhance the final product.
- Content Repurposing: Repurpose the Retiring Today TV Show, reaction videos, and other video content for audio and visuals as needed for our podcast, YouTube channel, and website. In addition, take additional audio and visuals for various social media platforms.
- Manage Studio Operations: Oversee the day-to-day operations of the video production studio, ensuring all equipment is maintained and functioning correctly.
- Project Management: Coordinate all aspects of video production projects, from planning and shooting to editing and final delivery. Ensure projects are completed on time and on brand.
- Brand identity: Ensure a creative yet consistent design that adheres to and supports the Merkle Retirement Planning brand and visual identity.
- Quality Control: Review and ensure the final video product meets technical and creative standards, resolving any issues as needed.
- Collaboration: Work closely with all teams to collaborate on video content and execute projects seamlessly, including design expectations, turnaround time, and approvals.
- Staying Current: Stay informed about industry trends, emerging technologies, and best practices in video production to ensure the latest techniques and tools are applied.
- Team Support: Assist the Creative Team in achieving shared goals and responsibilities.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $50,000.00 - $60,000.00 per year
