- Meet with referred individuals to complete and document assessments of referred individuals as part of the overall intake process.
- Take lead Project HIRE role in assigned cases, attend care team meetings, communicate with VRCs/SCs regarding changes/issues and ensure continuum of Project HIRE services.
- Identify and contact employers to assess interest in developing job sample sites, training and employing individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities and then assist interested parties with the process of finalizing these sites for hire of individuals served.
- Perform pre-placement/intensive/LTFA services and any additional assignments or duties as requested by the Director or Field Coordinator.
- Match individuals into competitive employment that reflects the individuals’ skills and interests in a timely manner within agency standards.
- Provide direct services to consumers for minimum of 80% of actual work hours.
- Inform Field Coordinator of completed authorizations and notification of incoming authorizations in a timely manner.
- Provide the Coordinator of Field Services with timely and accurate reports and billing information as required by the Agency and by funding sources.
- Complete all documentation in a timely and accurate manner as required by funding agencies, The Arc and/or accrediting agencies.
Abide by The Arc of NJ and worksite safety policy and procedures.
- Be proficient in use of computer technology, including but not limited to: Gmail, Setworks, Google Docs, ZOOM and other technology to enable virtual training and documentation.
- Refer Information and Referral questions to the Coordinator of Field Services for follow up.
- Attend Transition Fairs, Chamber of Commerce events, job fairs and other marketing related activities as requested by Coordinator of Field Services.
- Be available to work weekend and evening hours, when required.
Qualifications: A.A Degree preferred in related field or 3 years’ of related work experience required. Ability to travel to multiple worksites within a day. Ability to organize your schedule to maximize direct service hours to consumers of Project Hire services (average 80% of work time as direct billable hours). Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, patience and a positive attitude and an ability to establish a comfortable and supportive relationship with individuals receiving supports. A valid driver’s license, insurability by The Arc of NJ’s automobile insurance carrier, valid vehicle insurance and reliable vehicle. All applicants will be subject to initial and bi-annual Department of Motor Vehicle records check.
