Job Summary:
The Accounts Payable Specialist department is responsible for the financial, administrative, and clerical support of a company. They oversee making payments owed by the company to suppliers and other creditors, paying vendor invoices or bills, and recording the company's short-term debts.
Job Responsibility:
· Analyze invoices for payment with regards to prices, deductions, and discounts
· Review and reconcile vendor statements.
· Process bills for payment using three-way match.
· Run reports and analyze information using excel.
· Communicate with Buying Department, Vendors and Stores.
· Maintain multiple Accounts Payable inboxes daily to ensure timely processing of invoices.
· Review processed invoices for duplicates, errors, or other potential issues.
· Obtain appropriate authorizations and backup for payment for all invoices.
· Ensures proper maintenance, filing, and storage of records.
· Demonstrates positive attitude, good communications, and teamwork.
· Provide support for supervisor, as necessary.
· Performs all other duties as assigned.
Job Requirements:
· Bachelor's Degree.
· Minimum of 2 years Accounts Payable experience at same employer required! We are looking for long term candidates that want to grow with our team.
· Experience with any large ERP accounts payable with three-way matching experience.
· Be able to prioritize and complete all tasks in a timely manner handling several issues simultaneously. We are growing and move FAST!
· Be able to work fast and efficiently with detail-oriented mindset.
· Possess a positive attitude and be self-motivated to be not only a team player but to improve the daily operations of the position for future consideration.
· Have general office skills, such as Word, Excel, and other day to day operating procedures.
· Availability to work 44 hours per week, can leave at 4:00 p.m. on Fridays to get your weekend start.
