PRIMARY PURPOSE:
Assist in the protection of the School property assets and support the School brand values as expressed through the appearance of the campus.
NATURE AND SCOPE:
Campus Maintenance Responsibilities
● Sweep, mop, vacuum, scrub, and refinish floors; clean, dust, and polish furniture; wash windows and walls; clean restrooms; dispose of rubbish, change lights, etc.; and ensure that all areas of the building are kept up to the high quality and cleanness and sanitation.
● Pick up litter within buildings and on school grounds.
● Assure safety during inclement weather, including shoveling and salting, and provide slip protection on wet floors.
● Adheres to cleaning, lifting, moving, and operating equipment safety measures.
● Performs minor repair and maintenance as authorized by maintenance staff.
● Removes extraneous dirt/markings from interior and exterior vertical/horizontal surfaces (walls, doors, etc.).[1]
● Advise the building Director of Administration on mechanical equipment and/or building maintenance matters.
● Performs minor painting in areas of the school.
● Keeps all equipment in a good state of repair and cleanliness.
● Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings & weekends, as needed.
Administrative Functions
● Initiate maintenance service requests in conjunction with the Director of Administration.
● Follows through to ensure that maintenance is performed in a timely manner.
● Maintains inventory and requests cleaning supplies and materials needed to accomplish assigned tasks.
● Secures equipment and supplies and protects against loss, theft, or abuse.
Safety and Security
● Periodically inspects or maintains awareness of facility and equipment to detect and prevent injuries or damage.
● Always secure school buildings to ensure proper building security.
● Lock, secure, and code out the building at the end of the shift.
● Performs other duties as assigned.

EDUCATION / EXPERIENCE / SKILL REQUIREMENTS:
● Two years of experience in facility maintenance
● Federal FBI & Pennsylvania Criminal Background & Child Abuse Clearances.
WORKING CONDITIONS
● General office environment
● Lifting of up to 50 pounds
● 10% travel using their own vehicle
● Driver’s license needed for travel
