South Star JCB is in immediate need of a Service Manager to join our growing family in our new Lewisville, TX location. This position is responsible for leading and managing the store-level service-specific resources and operations. Specific areas of responsibility include:
1. Achievement of all Service operations goals (revenue, profitability, expense, service department human resources) for the Branch.
2. Effective collaboration with other functional managers, internal company resources, and external customers.
3. Creating Legendary Customer Service, building and maintaining a team environment, and achieving optimized flow through the Service Department that is efficient, effective, and in alignment with company financial metrics.
Job Qualifications:
- Must have GED or High School Diploma.
- Must have 5+ years of service operations experience.
- Proven experience in heavy equipment service management or related field.
- Must be computer literate. Must be proficient in Microsoft Office software.
- Must have a valid driver's license.
- Must be a self-motivated, energetic, detail-minded individual with excellent analytical and people skills.
- Must have demonstrated proficiency in Problem Solving, Influence Capabilities, Supervisory/Administrative Skills, Planning, and Technical Experience on heavy equipment maintenance and dealership operations.
- Must work effectively in a fast-paced environment with staff and internal/external customers.
- Must have exceptional customer service skills. Must be able to interact well with customers and employees.
- Ability to frequently reach, bend, walk, etc.
- Able to stand and walk for extended periods.
- Must be able to work Mon-Friday -7 AM - 5:00 PM and Saturdays as required.
Primary Responsibilities
- Manage day-to-day operations of the service department both in the shop and in the field for the Lewisville facility.
- Ensure efficient workflow and quality service delivery.
- Coordinate with lead technicians to ensure customer needs are met.
- Monitor work orders, schedules, repairs, and quality of repairs.
- Provide guidance and support to service team.
- Implement policies and procedures to enhance department efficiency.
- Maintain high standards of safety, cleanliness, and organization of the service area and yard.
- Familiar with warranty invoicing and submission.
- Coordinating with the parts department and parts delivery schedules.
- Confirm invoice accuracy.
- Coordinating with the sales departments and customer delivery schedules.
