Summary Description:
As part of the Disney Lorcana Global Community Team, you will help with organization and execution of Global Organized Play, as well as competitive and fan events. This role reports to the Global Organized Play Manager, and works directly with the Fan Event Manager.
The ideal candidate is a major Disney fan with plenty of trading card game event experience.
Hours : Full Time, contractor position
Location: Hybrid position located in the Seattle, Washington (US) office with 3 days/week in-office minimum
Reporting: The Organized Play & Event Coordinator reports to the Global Head of Organized Play, Disney Lorcana
Managing: The Organized Play & Event Coordinator position has 0 direct reports
Duties & Responsibilities
· Execute day-to-day tasks that include but are not limited to retailer and player inquiries, updating public facing and internal OP & Event documentation, communications with third party staffing and event organization vendors, arrange shipments of OP & events assets.
· Play a key role in event and campaign ideation and strategy, being able to provide realistic suggestions along with a proper understanding of execution and budgeting
· Stay current on Disney Lorcana brand and products, while maintaining a strong understanding of how upcoming product or campaigns can affect or impact Organized Play and events
· Keep assets for individual events, programs, and campaigns organized and up-to-date
· Coordinate with social media and creative marketing on campaigns to promote events and adhere to the brand look and feel
· Supervise TCG staff during events
· Attend trade and consumer shows as well as organized play and fan events
· Be willing to adjust work hours within reason
· Assist with creation of event and campaign post-mortem reports and meetings
· Maintain awareness of Organized Play campaigns across gaming as a whole, with a strong understanding of the TCG industry
Knowledge & Experience
· 3 years of relevant experience
· Extensive TCG knowledge and experience required
· Deep understanding of Disney with a passion for Disney fandom
· Proficient in Microsoft Word, Outlook, Excel, and PowerPoint
· Excellent communication and organizational skills
· Experience in marketing, PR, hospitality or related field a plus but not required
· Prior experience working with a licensed project a plus
