What We Are Seeking
We are seeking a highly motivated candidate to join our Investment Team. The Investment Team is comprised of accomplished professionals from top investment houses and Wall Street firms. This is a position with a firm focused on asset allocation across a broad array of asset classes and asset manager selection, it is not a trading-oriented or security selection position.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Prepare and analyze investment performance, risk, and attribution reports
- Work with team members to research, due diligence and monitor external asset managers and prospective managers
- Maintain private market manager screening evaluation tool to manage pipeline of opportunities
- Help oversee and manage 401K manager options
- Work with private market gatekeepers in identifying accretive tools to ensure more robust reporting and increase risk analysis
- Actively participate in investment manager meetings
- Assist with asset class research, identifying and reporting on trends within private and public markets that have impact on portfolios
- Ensure integrity of data being utilized for the purposes of analyzing asset managers
- Management and coordination of Investment Committee presentation materials
- Management of manager cash movement communications
- Work with the Investment Team in preparing and analyzing investment returns, performance attribution, and analytical reports
- Work closely with the Investment Team to prospect, research, perform due diligence on, and monitor external asset manager
- Work closely with Investment Team on data integration, total portfolio analytics, risk reporting, hedge funds and transactions reporting and implementing factor models for total portfolio and asset classes.
- Work closely with the Investment Team in production of periodic asset class reports and reporting to support asset allocation analysis.
- Maintain templates for receiving performance, portfolio and risk data from various gate-keepers, assimilating them in the risk system and 1199 reports
- Assist in maintaining and improving modeling and reporting templates, validating results with back-tests and incorporating them in overall analytics and reporting package
- Prepare ad-hoc reports as requested
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Bachelor’s degree (preferably in Finance, Economics or another quantitative discipline) with outstanding academic performance that demonstrates strong analytical background and quantitative skills
- CFA Level l or higher preferred
- 3 to 5 years of relevant investment-related work experience with institutional investor such as an endowment, foundation or pension fund
- Advanced skills in Excel and PowerPoint
- Prior experience with investment software such as MPI Stylus, FactSet and Blackrock Aladdin Risk is highly preferred
- Strong work ethic, independent problem-solving capabilities, effective communicator
- Intellectual curiosity with an interest in developing a career in asset management
