We are excited to share that we are adding an Assistant Bookkeeper and Billing Specialist to our team. Please note that this is a hybrid position, you must be able to commute to work Monday through Thursday and work from home on Friday.
Requirements:
- Must be knowledgeable and proficient with TABS
- 1-3 years of bookkeeping experience and legal billing experience with E-billing
- Proficient with Microsoft office
- Must have experience in a medium to large scale law firm;
- Electronic billing (LEDES) experience;
Responsibilities include, but not limited to:
- Perform client billing functions and other accounts receivable.
- Pay vendor bills and manage accounts payable.
- Perform data entry of receipts and client costs in billing and accounting systems.
- Perform data entry of receipts and disbursements for the IOLTA/IOLA trust accounts in the accounting systems.
- Reconcile the firm's IOLTA/IOLA and business accounts on an ongoing basis.
- Sorting and distribution of monthly prebills to billing attorneys; Utilizes the electronic billing workflow product of Aderant Expert to manage billing cycle of assigned billing attorneys.
- Prebill editing and finalization of invoices including transfers, write-offs, etc.
- Handle complex and split billing.
- Producing/mailing out client reminder statements.
- Transmission of electronic invoices with various e-billing systems such as: Serengeti, Allegient, Tymetrix360, CounselLink, etc.
- Maintain working relationships with each billing attorney and/or secretary as assigned.
- Researching and resolving billing inquiries as they occur.
- Maintain lists of special billing requirements.
