Description:Purpose / General Description:
Inside Sales Coordinator is responsible for processing PO orders, assisting with projects and bid and handling all interactions with customers in a productive and professional manner.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Interact with all customers and sales representatives whether in-person, over the phone or via email in a professional manner.
- Maintain a thorough knowledge of the products and how to use them to help customers select the best products for their purposes.
- Maintain knowledge and skills in using various types of order processing and payment systems.
- Add and update projects, activities and companies in Commence.
- Update current comparison charts and back up using the FB/CS Sales Goals Accounting sends over.
- Prepare Sales Meeting Packet to include the Sales Meeting Agena, Charts, Sales Goals and Salesman target shell report.
- Research upcoming projects using Construct Connect, Planhub and Construction Journal.
- Pull the architectural and structural plans for upcoming projects.
- Send plans to the appropriate salesman and wait for pricing to send to the GC Bidders
- Compose “Bid/Quote” using Bid Shells once pricing has been received.
- Send the “Bid/Quote” to GC’s via email with the salesmen CC’d
- Follow up on the awards and updates for the projects submitted for bid.
- Pull POs from Builders Pro and process, schedule, follow-up and send to the Fay Block accounting team.
- Keep track of special production orders and work closely with Fay Block to make sure these are completed.
- Assist with tracking, researching, correcting and reporting errors to the Customer Service/Inside Sales Supervisor for reporting.
- Assist at the switchboard as needed.
- Be an effective team member by setting a proper example, fulfilling responsibilities, keeping commitments to others, communicating effectively, and building teamwork within the group.
- Perform consistently to the established procedures and policies for the company.
- Maintain effective reporting of area metrics to assist the continuous improvement activities.
Requirements:Minimum Requirements:
- High School Diploma / GED (Associates degree in a construction specialty, or equivalent experience is a plus)
- 2 years’ experience in working in a direct customer sales environment
- Skilled in Microsoft Office products (Word and Excel primarily)
- Ability to learn new software programs.
- Strong organization, project management and time management skills
- Strong communication skills (communicate well at all levels) (Bilingual skills are a plus)
- Ability to actively participate in improvement efforts and contribute to the success of a team.
