Overview:
North Florida Medical Services Central Billing Office is seeking a full-time Medical Claim Analyst willing to become certified.
Essential functions of the Claim Analyst include all aspects of physician procedural coding, managing appeals, accounts receivables including denial management, some patient and insurance inquiries, review accounts for proper claim reimbursement, coordinating account information to assigned physicians and other duties as appropriate in the oversight of medical billing.
Requirements:
Willing to train recent CPC graduate with at least one year experience:
- Experience in physician office environment or insurance company in accounts receivables and appeals.
- Knowledge of insurance billing procedures preferred.
- Skill in defining problems, collecting data, interpreting billing information and claim resolution.
- Ability to work effectively with patients, co-workers, physician staff and vendors.
- Excellent customer service skills and the right attitude.
- Skill in computer applications
Education:
- CPC obtained within one year of employment if experienced in billing, insurance or healthcare.
- High school diploma, coding and billing courses helpful. Additional training a plus. Athena system knowledge a plus.
