Job Summary:
We are seeking a skilled and experienced Line Cook/Prep Cook to join our culinary team. As a Line Cook/Prep Cook, you will be responsible for assisting in meal preparation, ensuring food safety, and maintaining a clean and organized kitchen. Responsibilities:
- Prepare ingredients for cooking, including chopping vegetables, cutting meat, and other duties as assigned
- Assist in cooking and plating dishes according to recipes and restaurant standards
- Collaborate with the kitchen team to ensure timely and efficient food preparation
- Follow proper food handling and safety procedures to maintain a clean and sanitary kitchen environment
- Maintain inventory of food supplies and notify management when items need to be restocked
- Adhere to all health and safety regulations
Requirements:
- Previous experience as a Line Cook, Prep Cook, or similar role in a restaurant or culinary setting is preferred but not required
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail
- Excellent communication skills and ability to work well within a team
- Knowledge of food safety regulations and best practices
- Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed
