NATURE OF WORK:
Performs specialized and professional hydraulic modeling work for the Public Works department. An employee assigned to this classification is responsible for maintaining the computerized hydraulic model, analyzing impacts of prospective updates to the sewer network, data verification as well as other related duties. Work is performed under the direction and reviewed by the Engineering & Mapping Manager.
Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Environmental Engineering or related field plus four (4) years of experience in computer hydraulic modeling of utility networks, Civil Engineering, Land Development, linear utility design, municipal lift station design, and utility construction experience or an equivalent combination of education, training and experience. Two (2) years of experience with hydraulic modeling software such as Info Sewer and Info SWMM is required. Hydraulic Model Training and Certification and Professional Engineer is required. Valid Florida Driver’s License is required.
