Law Firm Specializing in Social Security Disability seeking an individual that is a highly motivated, responsible, and organized individual to work in our Hearing Department as a Legal Assistant / Case Manager (internally known as a Hearing Technician/Hearing Support). The ability to provide excellent customer service in a fast-paced environment while showing empathy to clients is a must.
Position Description for Client Service Representative / Case Manager:
Hearing Technicians/Hearing Support assist clients with the development of their claim at the hearing level of the Social Security Disability claim process. They communicate with our clients, Social Security Administration (SSA), medical facilities, and the Office of Hearing Operations (OHO) to insure the necessary information about our clients’ claims are received in preparation for a court hearing. Hearing Technicians/Hearing Support prepare a case for court by identifying file complications, request and process medical evidence, and obtain proper release and authorization forms. They work closely with the hearing attorney to ensure a client’s case is properly prepared for court. A high level of customer service is needed to maintain connection with our clients. Hearing Technicians//Hearing Support manage a caseload of clients as well as exhibit teamwork.
Hours, Pay, and Benefits for Client Service Representative / Case Manager :
- Hour Rate: $15.00/hour
- 1-2 days/week - Hybrid Remote Available once independent in position
- Full Time, 40 hours per week
- Monday - Friday, 8:00 am to 4:30pm

Job Duties for Client Service Representative / Case Manager:
- Respond to phone calls, inquiries, emails and other communication from clients, Social Security, and attorneys concerning claims
- Order, follow up on, review and submit medical records/evidence for court preparation
- Gather and document information from clients
- Prepare file for paralegal and attorney review
- General office duties include: faxing, scanning, copying, emailing, mailings, internet research, and data entry
Qualifications for Client Service Representative / Case Manager:
- Minimum of High School Diploma or GED equivalent, some college preferred
- At least one-year prior experience in an administrative support, customer service or related position. Prior experience in a legal setting preferred
- Strong typing skills including 10-key and ability to type 50-60 wpm
- Strong oral and written communication skills
- Able to express ideas clearly and concisely, and adapt messages to a variety of audiences
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, especially Word, Excel, Outlook
