We are seeking a part-time registered nurse (32-36 hours) who enjoys working with children and their families, while assessing the health needs of their patients. This position requires the willingness to float and support all locations within our PediaTrust footprint in the North, Northwest and Western suburbs of Chicago. Saturdays are required. A current RN license and CPR certificate required.
Responsibilities:
- Assess patient and family needs and recommend plan of care through collaboration with other clinical staff
- Ability to manage telephone triage
- Effectively and safely administer appropriate medications to patients
- Patient teaching and other clinical tasks
- Listen and communicate effectively with patients and their families
- Other tasks as assigned
Qualifications:
- RN with current Illinois nursing license in good standing
- Experience in a pediatric environment is preferred
- Should have excellent assessment, clinical and supervisory skills
- Must be able to work in collaboration with the nursing team
- Current clinical knowledge necessary
- Electronic medical record experience preferred; Epic experience a plus
- Ability to travel within the assigned PediaTrust footprint
