The Bistro at Courtyard is a chic, fast-casual concept restaurant offering an eclectic menu including a variety of refreshing to-go options as well as full sit-down fare including cocktails, wine, beer, and Starbucks coffee. Our Bistro Team Members/ Bartenders master a wide variety of food & beverage functions with the primary focus of providing alcoholic beverages to the guests. Prepare drink orders for guests according to specified recipes using measuring systems. Issues, open, and serve wine/champagne bottles. The PM Bistro Attendant/ Bartender will have additional duties to assist with the Bistro Food and Beverage functions such as preparing ingredients for cooking, including portioning, chopping, and storing food, processes all orders and collects payment from customers, as well as general cleaning, resetting tables, and delivering food to guests. This position also counts the bank at end of shifts, follows property control audit standards, and cash handling procedures. Applicants must have a minimum 1-2 years previous bartending experience.
Primary Responsibilities:
- Act with integrity, honesty, and knowledge that promotes the culture, values and philosophy of Courtyard. Complete closing duties including setting up and breaking down necessary supplies and tools.
- Cleaning all equipment, food and beverage prep areas as well as other areas within the lobby area.
- Set up, stock, and maintain work areas.
- Able to masterfully mix alcohol beverage without a recipe and create perfectly balanced cocktails.
- Serve beer and wine to customers and have strong product knowledge on both.
- Input orders into micros, and obtain payment and provide change.
- Assist with preparing food, coffee and other beverages from customers.
- Communicate additional meal requirements, allergies, dietary needs, and special requests to the kitchen.
- Prepare ingredients for cooking, including portioning, chopping, and storing food.
- Prepare and cook food according to recipes, quality standards, presentation standards, and food preparation checklist.
- Process all orders and collect payment from customers.
- Provide assistance in Food and Beverage areas including busing, cleaning and resetting tables.
- Deliver food and drinks to guests in courtesy manner.
- Count bank at end of shift, complete designated cashier reports, resolve any discrepancies, drop off receipts, and secure bank.

Qualifications, Education, Experience, Skills, and Abilities:
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- Prior experience working in upscale bar preferred.
- Superior Customer Service.
- Knowledge of alcohol drinks mixing recipes and terminology.
- Ability to develop constructive working and interpersonal relationships with colleagues and customers.
- Problem solving and decision making skills.
- Excellent organizational skills.
- Hands-on experience with cash register and POS systems.
- Active listening and effective communication skills.
- Able to work in a fast paced environment.
- Ability to read and process orders as they appear on the screen
- Food safety and sanitation knowledge required.
- Minimum 1-2 years previous bartending experience.

Pay: $15.00 - $20.00 per hour
