The Behavioral Direct Support Professional works one-on-one with adults who have Intellectual and/or Developmental Disabilities and require assistance due to consistent, high behavioral or medical challenges. Our clients live independently in their own homes, and our goal is to support their active engagement in daily life activities.

Duties and Responsibilities:
- Provide individualized direction and hands-on support to clients with diverse needs.
- Assist clients with daily living activities such as eating, cleaning, bathing, and toileting, ensuring they actively participate in these tasks.
- Implement and maintain consistent behavioral and medical support strategies tailored to each client.
- Foster an environment that promotes independence and engagement in all aspects of clients' lives.
- Develop and follow individualized support plans to address specific behavioral and medical needs.
- Encourage clients to take part in their daily routines and activities, promoting skill development and self-sufficiency.
- Maintain accurate documentation of support provided, including behavioral incidents, medical care, and progress notes.
- Communicate effectively with a multidisciplinary team, including healthcare providers, therapists, and family members, to ensure comprehensive care.

Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent required; higher education in a related field is preferred.
- Previous experience working with individuals with developmental disabilities, particularly those with challenging behaviors or medical needs.
- Certification in CPR, First Aid, and Nonviolent Crisis Intervention (or willingness to obtain).
- Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.
