Crisis stabilizers help support adherence of youth and caregiver to the crisis/safety plan including helping the family recognize high risk behaviors, modeling and teaching effective interventions to deescalate crisis, identifying and assisting youth with accessing community resources that will aide in the crisis intervention and/or stabilization.
Job Purpose:
Prevent crisis in youth by teaching coping skills, communication skills, and decision making skills.
Essential Duties and/or Responsibilities:
- Counsel youth, regarding coping skills, communication skills, and decision making.
- Provide Intervention services (i.e.; face-to-face contact, phone contact, 24 hour, seven day a week response that will be provided to the youth and family to help de-escalate crisis situations)
- Participate in team meetings and plan of care meetings.
- Serve as liaisons between youth, homes, schools, family services, courts, protective services, and other contacts.
- Maintain records and prepare reports on due dates.
- Connect youth to community resources such as community centers, libraries, job placement.
- Consult with care coordinator, parents, teachers, and other team members to determine causes of challenging behavior .
Experience and Education:
Minimum of High School diploma required. A Bachelor Degree in Social Work, Psychology, and Human Services is preferred.
Required Qualifications
Transportation and a valid Wisconsin drivers license.

- Able to work flexible hours including evenings and weekends.
Job Type: Part-time
Pay: $21.00 - $26.00 per hour
Expected hours: No less than 12 per week
