Qualifications:
- CNA license
- Must be able to stand, lift or assist in lifting an individual
- Must be able to respond to emergency situations
- 1 year of experience in a skilled nursing facility (Preferred)
What will I be doing:
- Work in the health care department
- Help patients with all activities of daily living (ADLs)
- Lift and move patients (transferring residents from chair to bed and back as necessary)
- Take vital signs
- Maintain a clean and sanitized environment (Cleans bedpans, urinals, and commodes; washes basins and emesis basins; sanitizes bathtub after each resident’s use)
- Maintain knowledge of resident’s condition; note significant changes in the condition of resident and takes appropriate actions
- Explain procedures to resident before administering or beginning procedures
- Perform range of motion exercises, increasing circulation to prevent pressure sores and contractures
- Assist with their physical needs including eating and bowel and bladder training, and provides assistance following incontinence
- Check trays with diet menu before serving to residents
