General Responsibilities:
One of the nation’s largest and most respected providers of Gastroenterology services, US Digestive Health (USDH) has built an impressive record of growth and performance. The organization has grown rapidly since its inception more than five years ago. Headquartered in Exton, PA, USDH includes over 260 providers, 1200 employees and through its practices and surgery centers operates over 50 outpatient facilities and ambulatory care access points in Pennsylvania and Delaware. The organization intends to continue to expand at a rapid pace and plans to serve new geographies in the future.
The Operations Analyst will be a highly visible team member within the organization’s corporate management team. This Analyst will work closely with the Chief Operating Officer and other senior members of the Operations and Finance teams. This Analyst will support and contribute to business analytics projects and processes to provide data-driven insights used to develop strategies for operational improvements and future business initiatives. This Analyst will utilize statistical methods, modeling, analytical methodologies, and data analysis to develop and deploy tools including dashboards, infographics, reports, and models to inform and support decision-making. In addition, they will mine, process, and analyze internal and external data to assist the senior operations team in evaluating and improving the performance of the organization in a number of key areas. The successful candidate must develop a good understanding of the business's model, clinical and operational objectives, issues, and challenges by interacting and collaborating with users and stakeholders.
Qualifications:
Education/Training:
Bachelor's degree required, preferably in healthcare administration, finance, business or a quantitative field.
3+ years' experience with an organization in a role which included analytics, finance or operations
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience with a healthcare organization
Experience:
Proven experience with BI Analytics & Reporting tools, in particular managing performance dashboards, KPIs and extracting data to generate custom reporting & analytics
Experience developing business dashboards (preferably output design as opposed to underlying data architecture)
Experience modelling in Excel & representing data graphically in both Excel and PowerPoint
Experience forecasting demand, staffing, financial performance, etc.
Previous experience with a healthcare organization, investment group, or private equity-backed organization will be preferred
Skills, Knowledge, and Abilities:
Ability to utilize tools such as Excel, PowerPoint and other desktop productivity software
Competency in statistical and trend analysis
Excellent written and verbal communications skills
Interest in learning about the healthcare space with an aptitude to advance through roles of increasing responsibility
Ability to travel up to 20%
Positive attitude and a strong work ethic
Essential Duties:
Support the COO and SVP, Operations in generating & interpreting regular reports and investigating exceptions flagged on performance dashboards.
Conducting analysis into specific topics to identify opportunities and issues
Partner with other members of the Operations team to support specific projects
Help design and implement new Operational dashboards within the company’s Tableau Enterprise Data Warehouse solution
Establish the ability to track key metrics and report these metrics to MSO senior management, the Physician Leadership Committee, the Board of Directors, and other parties
Provide input related to support the annual budgeting process, as well as periodic forecasts
Help develop business cases for new initiatives
Regularly analyze third party data to profile other providers in our markets, identify other providers in potential new markets
