We are hiring for a Materials Handler on the North Slope!
Brooks Range is looking for a new full-time team member with great people skills to interact with customers at their facilities. They will oversee all aspects of filling orders, merchandising product, assisting the customer with any specific needs while promoting sales. In this position, you will be responsible for waiting on customers in person both at our facility and at client facilities, while exceeding expectations to provide an exceptional experience.

While working as a Materials Handler, your duties will include but won't be limited to:

Writing up consumable orders for hardware, electrical connectors, pipe and hydraulic fittings etc.

Pulling the orders and packaging for transport to the customer

Billing the customer orders according to account specifications

Putting the product away at the customer facility
-
Assisting the store staff with putting away freight in proper locations
-
Inventory management including cycle counts throughout the store
-
Helping answer phones and pulling orders for customers at the counter

Equipment/vehicle scheduling & tracking using systems. Accountable for secured storage.

Facility maintenance for office, grounds, & shop. Maintain and clean equipment and storage areas to ensure that inventory is protected.

General labor as needed for kit assembly and facility maintenance.

Conducts self safely at all times, ensures a safe area for others, and completes required training, assessments and reports timely.

Education and Experience Required to Perform this Job:

Proven Verbal and written communication skills

Active and Valid Alaska Driver’s License with clean MVR/Driving Record

Pass a 7-Year Criminal, Wants & Warrants Background Screening process
-
Ability to pass a Pre-Hire non-DOT Drug Test (Marijuana is part of the 8 Panel)

Ability to pass a Pre-Hire Fit-for-Duty physical capacity exam (Extended Functional Capacity Exam)
-
Ability to obtain a North Slope badge for field access

1-2 Years Parts experience strongly preferred

Environment – The worker may be subject to extreme cold, wind, rain or snow working outdoors tasks. No Telecommuting. Tasks will be performed at Colville or Customer site location(s).
