Fabricates electro-mechanical instruments. Travel may be required.
Responsibilities:
§ Interpret mechanical drawings and work instructions to demonstrate some knowledge of electro-mechanical assembly processes.
§ Accurately document work on associated paperwork and in an ERP system.
§ Select and use appropriate tools/techniques to perform soldering and crimping of electrical components.
§ Fabricate internal and external electrical wiring harnesses to a defined quality standard.
§ Mechanically assemble entire modular components to a defined quality standard.
§ Demonstrate ability to learn new manufacturing techniques and processes.
§ Clearly communicate manufacturing impediments to direct supervision.
Performs other duties as assigned.
Skills:
§ IPC J-STD-001 certification preferred (current or expired).
§ Some familiarity with IPC/WHMA-A-620 to include but not limited to:
- Shield Terminations
- Mil-spec connectors (both solder and crimp)
- Solder cup terminations
- Wire Harness Breakouts
§ Some familiarity with IPC-A-610 to include but not limited to:
- SMT and Through-hole component terminations
- Wire-to-board terminations (i.e. through-hole, turret, post)
§ Some experience with epoxy/adhesives.
§ Board Level Soldering experience.
§ Conformal and powder coat experience a plus.
§ Some experience with reading mechanical prints and wiring diagrams.
§ Some capability to work under magnification.

§ Basic knowledge of the general job requirements and some understanding of the detailed aspects of the job
§ Close supervision involving detailed instructions and constant checking on performance
§ Works primarily with immediate work unit.
Knowledge/Requirements:
§ Requires a high school diploma or its equivalent.
§ May have apprenticeship and/or formal training in area of specialty.
§ Minimum 1 year of electro-mechanical experience required.
§ Some computer proficiency.
§ Soldering/Crimping experience required.
