JOB SUMMARY: A Maintenance Technician is responsible for ensuring that the assigned department(s) are maintained in good working order in a manner that prevents disruption of the site's operations and is in accordance with OSHA safety standards.
The Maintenance Technician ensures implementation of short- and long-term strategies for preventative maintenance scheduling and execution, for timely corrective maintenance actions and for general site maintenance needs.
REQUIRED EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:
- 7+ years of heavy mechanical/electrical manufacturing experience.
- Experience with Hydraulic systems.
- Strong background in electro-mechanical process.
- Must be resourceful and apply critical thinking skill in problem solving.
- Knowledge of TMP or other continuous improvement processes.
- Knowledge of automated processes systems.
- Strong computer skills.
- Physically capable and available to work some weekends and or varied shifts.
- Strong experience with
- Document issues and perform a corrective action plan and execute it.
- PLC, capable of edits, design, and repair.
- Principles of Mechanics (coupling, shaft alignment bearings, gears and lubrication).
- Technical documents, drawings, and schematics.
- Fundamental electronics and digital electronics
- AC/Dc and servo motors and drives.
- Ability to work in a team environment with minim al supervision.
PRINCIPAL FUNCTIONAL RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Follow and execute instructions given from supervisor and/or manager.
- Carry out diverse skilled activities involving the repair and maintenance of equipment and facilities including troubleshooting, diagnosis, and follow up.
- Designate and monitor the work of the crew in order to achieve the completion of assigned tasks in relation to buildings, machinery, and project work.
- Carry out machining, welding, and fabricating using a variety of materials and parts and perform diagnosis and repairs on electronic systems for machines and facilities.
- Guarantee adherence to company and OSHA safety practices and principles and other regulated safety and environmental regulations.
- Ensure the maintenance of equipment and tools are in a clean, secure, and appropriate working condition.
ESSENTIAL QUALIFICATIONS AND SKILLS:
- Be able to perform routine electrical repair and troubleshooting on both 3 phase and single-phase circuits.
- Be able to perform routine mechanical repairs such as: repair/diagnostics
- Asist in identifying, cataloging, and procuring necessary materials and parts used in maintenance operations.
- Must be able to read and interpret machine schematics, both mechanical and electrical
- Ability to perform physical labor, operate tools and machinery, and lift at least 80 lbs.
- Willingness to work alternate or adjust times as needed.
- General understanding and willingness to learn Microsoft computer products
- Demonstrate ability to proficiently us various measuring devices including but not limited to tape measure, calipers, micrometers, and electrical multimeters.
- Ability to work in wet, damp, hot, cold, or dusty places.
- Ability to recognize when specialized knowledge is needed.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS AND SKILLS:
- 2+ years of Mechanical/ Electrical manufacturing experience.
- 5+ years of Plumbing electrical and structures
- A desire to further develop leadership skills.
