Summary
Flatwater Inc. is looking to fill this position with the most qualified applicant, Flatwater is a subsidiary of Ho-Chunk Inc. the economic development company of the Winnebago Tribe of Nebraska. The ideal candidate will be responsible for leading the administration of ArcGIS Enterprise, ensuring seamless operations, and optimizing system performance. Key responsibilities include managing ArcGIS licensing, collaborating with IT and GIS personnel, deploying cloud-based instances, and maintaining comprehensive system documentation.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities

Lead primary ArcGIS Enterprise administration tasks, collaborating with IT to resolve issues and implement infrastructure upgrades effectively.

Manage the licensing of ArcGIS applications and extensions, employing both concurrent use and single use licensing methods as needed.

Foster close collaboration with IT and GIS personnel to ensure seamless operations and enhance system performance.

Collaborate with Esri technical support to deploy cloud-based instances of vendor software on designated infrastructure.

Coordinate with database administrators to troubleshoot and resolve Enterprise Geodatabase issues promptly.

Oversee the management of the ArcGIS Online organization and ArcGIS Enterprise deployment for optimal functionality.

Monitor ArcGIS Enterprise performance metrics, including capacity, usage, CPU, hardware, storage, and service statistics.

Maintain comprehensive system documentation and operational procedures, updating them as necessary to reflect changes and improvements.
Skills and Qualifications

Comprehensive understanding of ArcGIS Enterprise components and adeptness in configuring them to meet organizational needs.

Proven track record in ArcGIS Enterprise administration, including experience in upgrades and troubleshooting to ensure system stability and efficiency.

Proficiency in installing and upgrading ArcGIS Pro, ensuring seamless integration with the existing GIS infrastructure.

Hands-on experience working with Enterprise Geodatabases, including data management and troubleshooting.

Expertise in licensing ArcGIS applications, managing licenses efficiently to support organizational requirements.

Proficiency in utilizing Python scripting to automate tasks and workflows within the ArcGIS Enterprise environment.

Strong background in Microsoft Windows Server administration, ensuring the smooth operation of GIS services on the server infrastructure.

Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, to effectively collaborate with team members and stakeholders.

Education and Experience

Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university. This can be waived with significant and relevant experience.

At least 3 years of specialized experience administering Geographic Information Systems (GIS).

Experience working with Enterprise Geodatabases, licensing ArcGIS applications, and using Python to automate ArcGIS enterprise applications.

Experience with Microsoft Windows Server administration and managing cloud infrastructure to host ArcGIS Enterprise applications.

Experience conducting spatial analysis using ArcGIS Pro to derive actionable insights from data and configuring mapping dashboards or web map applications using Portal for ArcGIS authoring tools.
SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES
There is no supervisory responsibility for this position.
WORK ENVIROMENT
This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, filing cabinets and fax machines.
TRAVEL
25% travel is expected for this position.

POSITION TYPE/EXPECTED HOURS OF WORK
This is a full-time hybrid position that requires being on-site 20% of the time. Hours of work and days are generally Monday through Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 5 p.m. Some weekend or evening hours may be necessary in emergency situations.
SECURITY CLEARENCE
Must be able to always obtain and maintain a Moderate Background Investigation (MBI) clearance.
