Daybreak Canyon is looking for individuals who are interested in being part of a Team who work and care for young men in a residential setting as a Youth Guide. Our young men ages 11-17 have experienced early childhood trauma and come for help with attachment and identity issues, anxiety, depression, ADHD, PTSD, or other related issues.
Qualified applicants must be at least 21 years old with minimum of a GED and able to pass a criminal background check. Applicants must have reliable transportation and able to work alongside our residents for an 8-12 hr shift. Applicants skilled in outdoor recreation activities, including downhill skiing or snowboarding, will be given preference. Applicants must be able to physically engage with youth in a wide variety of outdoor pursuits as well as be capable of mentoring, coaching, and providing direct care and supervision in a residential setting. Applicants must be able to work weekends!
Preference given to applicants with previous residential experience, as well as Bachelor level or higher education.
