Bennett Pump Company is well known around the world for making robust refueling hydraulics and the world's most accurate fuel metering systems. Because of manufacturing experience and global sourcing partnerships, Bennett Pump is a low-cost, high-quality producer in the industry and can be significantly more agile and responsive to customers than its competitors. Bennett’s recent growth has resulted in a need for a dedicated Quality Manager to join our growing team.
GENERAL SUMMARY
The exempt position is responsible for management of all aspects of the Bennett Pump Quality Program. This program includes incoming material inspections & certifications, supplier approval & audits, production process/procedure inspections & audits, customer & Listing Agency documentation & reports, gauge and measuring tool calibration programs, quality program/procedure development & training, and support for the Bennett Pump 5S program, and involvement with our ISO program. The ideal candidate will be responsible for implementing and maintaining quality systems to uphold product integrity and customer satisfaction. This position reports directly to the Director of Quality and Client Services.
ESSENTIAL JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
- Develop control plans, PFEMA, flow charts, SPC and CPK measures and oversee PPAP approval for each production line or cell at Bennett Pump.
- Manage the development and retention of all product and customer required documentation and records. Examples of this are; DFEMA, PFEMA, Control Plans, PPAP, First Article Warrants, Component CPK’s and UL Listing Files. Be the contact person for all plant quality audits.
- Establish and manage a calibration program and gauge R&R. This includes the identification of all measuring tools/gauges used in the plant and establishing a unique identification system for them.
- Provide/supervise an inspection program for incoming materials, maintain records of inspections and defects, resolve issues with vendors, and assist purchasing with expense recovery and credits.
- Maintain and provide on demand, all records of material certifications and assure that correct documents are obtained as required.
- Work with purchasing and engineering to establish a vendor approval program and evaluate/audit vendors on a regular basis.
- Work w/production & engineering to establish accurate work instructions and procedures, provide audit supervision and record retention, and training to new employees.
- Provide quality support for the Bennett 5S housekeeping program.
- Assist with the Company’s ISO program.
- Perform other duties as assigned.

Education & Industry Experience: Bachelors Degree; or equivalent combination of education and experience. 5+ years of manufacturing experience in a Quality Management position. Strengths in program development and customer relationships.
Technical Experience:
Working knowledge of Microsoft products. Knowledge of Syteline/Infor Management Systems required.
Documented experience in development of PFMEA, Control Plans, Flow Charts, SPC, CPK, PPAP and other supporting programs/documents. Documented experience with precision measurement tools, audits, record keeping and program development. Teambuilding Training, Lean Manufacturing and ISO program development & registration experience a plus.
Mathematical Skills: Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Ability to perform algebraic and geometric calculations.
Language Skills: Ability to read and comprehend complex instructions. Ability to write and understand complex correspondence. Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to customers, clients, and other employees of the organization.
Reasoning Ability: Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed but uninvolved written or oral instructions. Ability to deal with problems involving many variables in various situations.
