We are currently looking for a Plant Accountant to join our team on site in Columbia City IN. As a Plant Accountant, You Will
Position Summary:
Play a pivotal role in supporting manufacturing operations. Fully responsible for book keeping and month end closing. Bank reconciliations, account reconciliations and financial statement preparation are the primary financial activities. Partner closely with senior leadership, providing recommendations based on comprehensive financial analysis. The successful candidate will have a collaborative approach to working with peers to enhance their financial acumen.
Provide financial support to the plant manager and plant operating staff. Provides financial controls for plant assets and operating reports; provides financial analysis for plant projects. Ensures all plant financial reports and analysis comply with appropriate accounting principles and company policies, accurately reflect the condition of business, and provide reliable information necessary to control operations. Participates in continuous improvement projects with the Operations, Purchasing and Finance teams. Supports the annual audit processes.
Do you have these required qualifications?
- Three or more years accounting experience with progressively expanding duties in variety of accounting areas.
- Current right to work in the United States without sponsorship.
- Ability to work in Columbia City, IN without relocation assistance.
Do you have these preferred qualifications?
- Three or more years of experience in a manufacturing environment.
- Experience with Quick books and or SAGE Intacct.
Ideally, You Have Also Demonstrated The Following
- Working knowledge of manufacturing and accounting systems and procedures.
- Strong interpersonal skills.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills essential.
- Strong organizational and collaborative skills.
- Strong accounting, analysis, problem- solving, and data-gathering skills.
- Ability to handle multiple priorities concurrently.
- Demonstrated ability to act independently without close, direct supervision; accept increased responsibility; and contribute to plant performance at higher level over time.
- Ability to be regularly exposed to a production environment.
- PC and keyboard/mouse skills required; excellent spreadsheet application skills.
