Responsibilities:
- Provide wound care treatments to patients in accordance with established protocols and standards.
- Assess and evaluate wounds, including documentation of wound characteristics and progress.
- Develop and implement individualized care plans for patients with complex wound care needs.
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare team members to ensure comprehensive patient care.
- Educate patients and their families on wound care techniques, prevention, and self-care measures.
- Monitor and manage wound healing progress, including the use of advanced wound care modalities.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records and documentation.
Experience:
- Minimum of [X] years of experience as a Wound Care Nurse or in a related field.
- Experience working with electronic medical record systems, such as Point Click Care(PCC)
- Knowledge of sonography for wound assessment is preferred.
- Familiarity with medication administration related to wound care.
- Strong understanding of anatomy and physiology related to wound healing.
- Ability to perform physical examinations and assess patient conditions accurately.
- Experience in providing wound care for senior patients is highly desirable.
- Knowledge of HIPAA regulations and ability to maintain patient confidentiality.
