Overview:
Purpose: Mold Maker must have a minimum of fifteen (15) years of experience in building new mold bases and tooling, and repairs and modification of older bases & tooling with multi-cavitation.
- Capable of all machining operation and training of co-workers.
- Qualified to refurb any of our tools to +GF+ specifications.
- Understanding of all molding technology.
- Strong math, algebra and trigonometry skills.
- Design review / design assistance for tool design department
- CAD and CNC certification from an accredited technical school.
- Exposure to all CNC operations and programming.
- Complex programming on lathe or mill controls / subprograms.
- Training on CNC operations on all types of controls
- Cam training leading to 3D mill contouring capability.
- Train tech lVs on programming and operation of CNC machines
- Takes full responsibility of the Tool Shop in the absents of the supervisor.
- Supports the established Quality Policy
- Fulfills role as required in the documented quality system manual, directives and work instruction.
Key Responsibilities:
- Adherence to all-appropriate safety practices and procedures, and to continually monitor for hazards.
- Maintain schedules and insuring that the employees and equipment are use to maximum effectiveness-
- Insuring the quality of workmanship released from the Tool Room.
- Assessing the capabilities of subcontractors and making the subcontract arrangements for machine shop work.
- Responsible for resolving any delays in production such as down time. . Organizes so as to expedite maintenance and repairs of mold bases and tooling as quickly as possible.
- Works closely with Production and Inventory Control Manager to discuss Tool Room impact on the production schedule and the priority for repairs/rebuilds and replacement tools.
- Work with the Human Resources Manager regarding all company policies and procedures and issues
- Enhances the performance of others by teaching techniques, imparting information, and leading subordinates through learning experiences.
- Maintain schedules and insuring that men and equipment are use to maximum effectiveness
- Supports the established Quality Policy
- Fulfills role as required in the documented quality system manual, directives and work instructions

Minimum Requirements:
- Must have a machinist certification or fifteen years experience.
- Ability to read and write English clearly and concisely.
- CAD and CNC certification from an accredited technical school

- Blue print reading
