Job Overview:
We are seeking a dedicated Medical Assistant to join our team in a fast-paced healthcare setting. The ideal candidate will have a passion for patient care and possess knowledge of medical terminology and procedures.
Responsibilities:
- Assist healthcare providers in patient examinations and procedures
- Perform basic clinical tasks such as vital signs, EKGs, and phlebotomy
- Maintain accurate patient records and assist with documentation
- Administer medications under provider supervision
- Coordinate patient referrals and follow-ups
- Ensure compliance with medical laws and regulations
Requirements:
- Certification or diploma from an accredited Medical Assistant program
- Proficiency in medical terminology, physiology, and medication administration
- Experience working in internal medicine, urgent care, or an OR setting is preferred
- Knowledge of coding systems and electronic health record (EHR) systems
- Ability to work effectively in a Level II Trauma Center or inpatient environment
