You Have:
● Bachelor's Degree
● Have at minimum two years of experience in adolescent care
● Valid driver’s license with up-to-date insurance
● Minimum age of 21
● Maintain valid teaching certificate, preferred

The Impact You Make:
● Prepare and facilitate experiential learning exercises and workshops to develop critical thinking skills, study skills, cultural enrichment, social justice/equity, and BHGH's six key programming areas.
● Collaborate and communicate with tutors, mentors, and other volunteers to support scholar successes.
● With oversight from the Academy Manager, create individualized plans for all scholars across learning environments by setting individualized goals and tracking academic, personal, and skill development through assessment tools, database tracking, and observations.
● Facilitate and ensure regular communication, positive relationships, and ongoing support to the guardian(s) and/or parent(s) as they fulfill their role to support scholars and encourage their participation in the program
● Document objective observations of scholar activity; records, update, and enters significant information and incidents in the required format.
● As with life, priorities and duties can shift or be added to be as effective as possible for our scholars.
Bring Your Expertise:
● A proven understanding of how people learn, instructional differentiation, classroom management, and an understanding of school systems and functions.
● Demonstrated experience, considerations, and successes of the differing needs and concerns of working with diverse and underrepresented scholars and communities
● Excellent communication (written and verbal), leadership, interpersonal, and organizational skills Audiences include scholars, families, team members, school faculty, volunteers, and stakeholders.
● Ability to adjust to abrupt changes in priorities and strategy.
● A solid commitment to cultivating relationships with students in a learning environment.
● Sound judgment and high level of maturity, including the ability to handle confidential information responsibly in sensitive situations involving scholars
● A high degree of self-motivation, organization, accuracy, and productivity with an ability to manage time, meet deadlines and follow through on projects on time with varying degrees of pressure.
