Position Overview:
We are seeking a skilled and experienced Ford Specific Diesel Mechanic to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in diesel engine repair, with specific expertise in Ford diesel engines. From routine maintenance to complex repairs and diagnostics, you'll be responsible for providing comprehensive service to our customers' vehicles, ensuring they run smoothly and efficiently.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform diagnostics, repairs, and maintenance on Ford diesel engines, including but not limited to engine systems, fuel systems, electrical systems, and emissions systems.
- Conduct thorough inspections to identify issues and recommend necessary repairs or replacements.
- Utilize diagnostic equipment and technical manuals to diagnose and troubleshoot engine problems accurately.
- Perform routine maintenance tasks, such as oil changes, filter replacements, and fluid checks, to ensure the longevity and performance of diesel engines.
- Follow manufacturer guidelines and specifications to complete repairs and ensure compliance with warranty requirements.
- Keep accurate records of all repairs, maintenance tasks, and parts used for each vehicle.
- Communicate effectively with customers to explain repairs needed and provide cost estimates for services.
- Collaborate with other team members to ensure efficient workflow and timely completion of repairs.
- Stay up-to-date on the latest Ford diesel engine technologies and repair techniques through ongoing training and professional development.
Qualifications:
- Proven experience as a diesel mechanic, with a focus on Ford diesel engines.
- Strong understanding of diesel engine systems, including mechanical, electrical, and fuel systems.
- Proficiency in diagnostic tools and equipment used for troubleshooting diesel engines. (company Provided)
- Ability to interpret technical manuals and schematics to perform repairs accurately.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Effective communication skills, both verbal and written.
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
- Certification from a recognized automotive technical school or equivalent experience is preferred.
