The NRP Group is currently seeking an Investment Associate to join the Capital Markets Team in Cleveland, OH.
POSITION SUMMARY
Under the direction of the Vice President of Capital Markets, the Investment Associate, will manage the financial aspects of real estate properties as they progress through the investment committee process, capitalization of financing and closing of the project.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
This function includes updating financial models and preparing presentations for Investment and Executive Committee approval. Subsequently, preparing offering memorandum materials for capital raising. This includes pitching NRP as a platform and our deals to potential capital partners, conducting site and market tours and ultimately proposing options to senior management for the selection of capital partners. Once partners are selected, responsibilities include participating in closing calls, assisting in document negotiation with legal, and generally serving as the main business point of contact for debt and equity partners through the raising and closing process.
Essential Functions Statement(s):
Sales oriented approach to developing materials and presenting deals to potential partners.
Serve as a liaison with developers, equity partners, third party owners and lenders.
Learn detailed aspects of multifamily finance.
Manage the project pro forma financial model from inception through closing.
Assist in the closing of debt and equity financing.
Team player who can also work independently.
SKILLS & ABILITIES
Education: Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Economics, or Accounting required.
Experience: At least 2 years’ experience in Finance or public Accounting. Excellent communication skills with experience presenting to a diverse audience. Real Estate and capital raising/sales experience preferred.
Technical Skills: Proficient in Excel, InDesign experience preferred.
