Our company is seeking an Assistant Project Manager to join our team in managing projects related to architectural millwork and interior glazing. The Assistant Project Manager will assist in all aspects of project management, including planning, scheduling, budgeting, and coordinating with clients, vendors, and contractors. The ideal candidate should have strong organizational and communication skills, be able to multitask and prioritize effectively, and be comfortable working in a fast-paced environment.
Main Job Tasks and Responsibilities:
· Assist the Project Manager in the planning and implementation of the contracted scope of work for all assigned projects.
· Develop and maintain Submittal Logs, RFI Logs & Change Order Logs for each project.
· Generate the Submittal packages including material samples, manufacturer cut sheets and scope clarification for each project.
· Assist Project Manager by tracking & managing the shop drawings process for interior design and architect of records review.
· Assist Project Manager with the Organizing of VIF dimensions, photos and documentation and the transfer of such information to the appropriate parties.
· Assist Project Manager with the definition of project scope, goals and deliverables
· Help in the defining of project tasks and the resources required to execute such tasks.
· Help manage the project budget.
· Plan and schedule project timelines.
· Track project deliverables using appropriate tools.
· Help provide direction and support to project team.
· Assist in the preparations of reports defining project progress, problems and solutions.
· Source/identify external suppliers as required and develop procurement plan.
Requirements:
· Bachelor's degree in architecture, engineering, construction management, or related field.
· At least 2 years of experience in project management, preferably in the architectural millwork and interior glazing industry.
· Excellent organizational and communication skills.
· Strong attention to detail and ability to multitask and prioritize.
· Proficiency in project management software and Microsoft Office.
· Knowledge of construction industry standards and practices.
· Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $50,000.00 - $75,000.00 per year
