Overview:
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Maintenance and Facilities Manager to oversee the maintenance and operations of our facilities. This position will be responsible for ensuring the efficient and effective functioning of our buildings and equipment. This is a key leadership role that requires strong organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills.
Maintenance Management:
- Supervise and lead a team of maintenance technicians, providing guidance and support to ensure efficient and effective maintenance operations.
- Develop and implement preventive maintenance programs for all machinery and equipment to minimize downtime and optimize performance.
- Schedule and coordinate maintenance activities, including routine inspections, repairs, and upgrades.
Electrical and Mechanical Troubleshooting:
- Perform troubleshooting and diagnostics on electrical and mechanical systems, including PLCs, VFDs, motors, gearboxes, and conveyor systems.
- Familiarity with 24v, 120v, and 480v systems, relay logic, and control circuits.
- Identify and resolve issues related to hydraulic and pneumatic systems to maintain equipment functionality.
Building and Machine Repairs:
- Oversee repairs and maintenance of building infrastructure, including HVAC systems, plumbing, electrical systems, and structural components.
- Coordinate with external contractors and vendors for specialized repairs and services as needed.
- Troubleshoot and resolve mechanical and electrical issues in machinery and equipment to ensure uninterrupted operations.
Bidding and Contract Management:
- Solicit bids from contractors and suppliers for maintenance services, repairs, and facility upgrades.
- Evaluate bids based on cost, quality, and timeline considerations, and negotiate contracts with selected vendors.
- Manage vendor relationships and ensure compliance with contract terms and service level agreements.
Grounds Maintenance:
- Oversee the upkeep and maintenance of the facility grounds, including landscaping, parking lots, and exterior structures.
- Develop and implement landscaping plans to enhance the appearance and functionality of the facility.
- Ensure compliance with environmental regulations and safety standards related to grounds maintenance activities.
Safety and Compliance:
- Enforce safety protocols and regulations to maintain a safe working environment for employees and visitors.
- Conduct regular safety inspections and audits to identify hazards and implement corrective measures.
- Ensure compliance with relevant regulatory requirements and industry standards for facility maintenance and operations.
Training and Development:
- Provide training and mentorship to maintenance technicians on proper maintenance procedures, safety protocols, and equipment operation.
- Stay updated on industry trends and best practices in maintenance and facilities management, and incorporate new knowledge into operations.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in engineering, facilities management, or a related field or equivalent experience
- At least 3 years of people management experience
- Proven experience in maintenance management and facilities operations, preferably in a warehouse or industrial setting.
- Strong technical knowledge of electrical and mechanical systems, including PLCs, VFDs, motors, conveyors, and hydraulic/pneumatic systems.
- Experience with troubleshooting and diagnostics of industrial equipment and control systems.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to prioritize tasks, manage multiple projects simultaneously, and work effectively under pressure.
- Proficiency in computerized maintenance management systems (CMMS) and other relevant software applications.

Pay: $65,000.00 - $70,000.00 per year
