About The Role
We are looking for a Marketing Manager of Events who will serve as a key member of our Brand Strategy and will own our event and conference strategy and marketing. This role will be responsible for the strategy and execution of Niche's rich conference program, as well as virtual and in-person events for our industry partners, students, counselors, and families. By expanding brand awareness, deepening understanding, and strengthening relationships with our key stakeholders, you will play a pivotal role in driving business objectives.
This role reports to the Senior Director of Brand Strategy and will collaborate closely across departments to deliver compelling experiences. The ideal candidate will have 5+ years in event marketing and management, with a demonstrated track record of working cross-functionally and executing data-driven event programs.
What You Will Do
During the First Month:
- Learn about Niche by meeting with various team members to learn more about our company through our onboarding meetings
- Collaborate with various team members to get a clear understanding of our users, partners, products, and current marketing strategies
- Start building relationships and trust with key stakeholders across the Marketing, Creative, and Sales Teams
- Develop an understanding of Niche's current events and conferences program, as well as the current stakeholders, budget, and processes
- Partner closely with Brand Strategy Coordinator to execute industry and company events
Within 3 Months:
- Execute a comprehensive audit of Niche's current events and conference calendar, start to make recommendations for the execution of H2 events and conferences
- Collaborate across teams to analyze the current strategy, develop a deep understanding of the ROI and impact of conferences, virtual, and in-person events
- Establish a centralized events calendar; partner with marketing stakeholders quarterly to create awareness around upcoming events and ensure promotion, content distribution, and communication strategy is set
- Take full ownership of the events and conferences budget, ensure clear tracking is in place to manage to the program budget
Within 6 Months:
- Take full strategic ownership of Niche's events and conferences program; serve as the "go-to" resource across Niche for the program
- Develop and evolve existing reporting processes that demonstrate the ROI and impact of Niche's events and conference program that can be leveraged across the Marketing Team and Senior Leadership
- Leverage 2024 performance learnings and 2025 company objectives to develop strategic recommendations for 2025 events, inclusive of:
- Education industry conferences
- Niche-sponsored partner events and retreats
- Virtual events and webinars
- Advisory Board program
- College Fairs
Within 12 Months:
- Oversee execution of virtual and in-person events, presenting learnings and optimization opportunities to cross-functional leads
- Identify and recommend new event opportunities to support 2025 and 2026 business objectives
What We Are Looking For
- Bachelor's degree in any field
- 5+ years of relevant work experience in event marketing, including in-person and virtual events
- Experience in the education industry is a plus but not required
- Experience developing advocacy marketing programs and collaborating cross-functionally with stakeholders
- Previous experience leading and delegating across teams
- Relentless work ethic - eager to solve one problem and move on to the next
- Must be an excellent communicator and comfortable both driving and executing on marketing strategies
- Able to thrive and quickly adapt in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment

Compensation
Our national target base salary range is $73,000-$92,000, plus participation in our Annual Bonus and Stock Option Program. Base compensation will be commensurate with experience and skills.
