POSITION SUMMARY:
We are seeking a highly qualified and compassionate Medical Retina Doctor to provide specialized care for patients with retinal diseases. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in diagnosing and treating a variety of retinal conditions, including age-related macular degeneration, diabetic retinopathy, and retinal vein occlusions. The Medical Retina Doctor will work closely with our team of ophthalmologists and optometrists to deliver comprehensive and coordinated care.
Travel locations for this position: Plantation, Fort Lauderdale, and Delray
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Perform detailed retinal examinations and interpret diagnostic tests such as OCT, fluorescein angiography, and ultrasonography.
- Develop and implement treatment plans for patients with retinal diseases, including intravitreal injections, laser therapy, and other medical treatments.
- Collaborate with other eye care professionals to ensure comprehensive patient care.
- Educate patients about their conditions and treatment options, providing support and guidance throughout the treatment process.
- Participate in clinical research and stay updated on the latest advancements in retinal disease management.
- Maintain accurate and detailed patient records and ensure compliance with all regulatory requirements.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Medical degree (MD or DO) from an accredited institution.
- Completion of a fellowship in medical retina.
- Board certification or eligibility in ophthalmology.
- Valid state medical license.
- Strong clinical and diagnostic skills in medical retina.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Commitment to providing high-quality, patient-centered care.
- Ability to work effectively in a team environment.
